Together we can find strength, solidarity and inspiration in the long memory of the labor movement in America & beyond! "The worker must have bread, but she must have roses, too." Family Friendly Block Printing Workshop
Looking for something fun to do during school break? Join us for an engaging and interactive block-printing workshop for young artists and their caregivers, hosted by friend of the shop, printmaker and artist Morgan LaChance!
In this workshop, we will learn how to design, create, and print our own 4x6 stamps using materials that are safe for young children to handle. Pre-made stamps created by the instructor will also be available to experiment with. Everyone will go home with multiple prints on paper and/or fabric as well as their unique blocks which can be used again. Best suited for children ages 5 -12.
Limited to 10 children. Accompanying adults are free. $35-65 sliding scale.

Poetry & Liberation
Join Toussaint St Negritude and Uncle Erok for an evening of lively poetry, printing and conversation. Toussaint and Erok will share poems on the topic of art and liberation, followed by group discussion and sharing on the theme. Please bring a poem to share if you feel inspired!
We'll also be printing! Hard-Presssed Community Printshop members will share about the letter press and will have a broadsheet set up that folks can print to take home featuring words by Toussaint and art by Erok.
Suggested donation $10-$20. No one turned away for lack of funds.

Food for Fools Potluck
Join us for a delightful April Fools potluck, grounded in community building around the themes of whimsy, joy and mischief.
Bring a dish that is comforting, warm or is attached to a special memory in your life and join us for conversation about how we can embrace some of the darkest experiences of humanity and transform them into the communal release of laughter.

Letterpress Basics: Sunday March 23rd, 1-4 pm
In this four hour workshop we will each design and print a one-color design. Each participant will walk away with a stack of prints to share with their pals. This is a great workshop to learn the basics of setting type, and printing on the Vandercook cylinder press.

Beginner Bookmaking
In this two hour introductory bookbinding workshop, students will become familiar with this fun and practical craft by producing books with straightforward structures that are endlessly adaptable. You will leave with a deeper understanding of the book making process and a personalized softcover notebook you have created! All materials included with shop tools available for shared use.
